Omg cauliflower alfredo for the win!!

So I don't do that oh yay its healthy let's pretend its what we really wanted to eat and not just fing nasty and depressing version of foods.  I'd rather eat one bite of the real deal or chose a better option that fake out up.  But real Alfredo just makes me sick these days and cauliflower was on sale at Aldi so I decided to try it out.  And OMG its freaking Amazing!!!! And super cheap and easy.  Pictures next time I promise!!

I looked up a recipe on-line and found this at Pinch of Yum.  This girl seemed to definitely enjoy her food so I thought I'd take her advice and go with her recipe.

Get a head of cauliflower and break or cut off the florets.  Break them down into smallish pieces and toss them in a big pot.  (Keep the remains if you're cheap like me and make veggi broth after)  Add 5-6 cups of water or vegetable broth and bring to a boil.  Cook for about 7-10 minutes or until fork tender.  In a skillet melt 2 tbsp of butter and sautee 8 cloves of minced garlic.  Remove from heat and set aside when it just begins to brown.

Fish your cauliflower out of the water with a slotted spoon reserving the liquid.  Toss your cauliflower in the blender.  Add the garlic and butter.  Add 1 cup of the cooking liquid from the cauliflower.  A 1/2 cup of milk and about a tsp of salt and pepper.  Turn on and puree the heck out of it.  Boom Alfredo.  Add as usual to pasta or whatever.

Accidental Purse storage

So I am absolutely in love with this amazing method of purse storage that I accidentally came across.  I love these hanging things from IKEA for socks, underthings, stockings and the like.  I went like a normal person to install a swag hook in my ceiling to hang it from but discovered I couldn't without a drill and as I really wanted to get this done without an investment, I got creative instead, when I happened to notice a spare shower curtain rod leaning against the wall behind me.  I popped the shower curtain rod up and hung my thing quite satisfied with my ingenuity and a place to stick my masses of work socks.  While it was usefull it looked kinda lame and dorky  and seemed like a waste of space.  So I thought what could I hang from there?  If you are as shoe and Pinterest obsessed as I am you may have seen the curtain rod/shoe hanging thing.  Which I had already tried out. So I made the logical jump to purse hanger since shoes seemed ridiculous that high.
Twirled up ends
and linked together
Slid some binder clips
I twirled up the ends of my hanger and slid some binder clips on.  I wanted to keep things as small and tight as possible and not let the clips move a whole lot so I linked my little curlie ques together.  Maybe later I will add pretty little doo-dahs like the shoe hanger lady and spray paint them... but for not I'm looking for functionality.  And I am just so totally contently happy with the way they just hang up there not taking up any space in my closet visible and accessible not having to drag though a thousand things thinking they are lost.
So content.
